3D Printing and Sustainability – Oxford

March 31, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Introduction to 3D Printing, how it works and when it can be useful, as well as it’s impact on sustainability.

About this Event
Peek behind the curtain with a behind the scenes tour from Eagle Lab Engineer Andrew Pledger on how 3D printing works, and when it can be useful. From visualizing prototypes to distributed manufacturing, 3D printing has the potential to aid or revolutionize certain industries, so come and find out how!

The basics of how 3D printing works will be covered as well as case studies of businesses and events that have been shaped by the technology. Learn how a machine that churns out plastic can be good for the planet!

There will also be a practical demonstration using an Ultimaker printer and a showcase of some of the prototyping work done at Eagle Labs, with a chance to field questions at the end.
